Money not received

Updated on 05 October 2023

You can only receive money on one TWINT app

Have you sent money to someone, but they say they didn’t get it?

The recipient should first check that the desired TWINT app is their default app for receiving money by tapping on “Payment settings” > “Receive money”. If the app is their default app, there will be a green check mark next to “Receive money with this app”.

If that person uses (or previously used) more than one TWINT app, it’s possible that they received the money on another TWINT app (either another bank’s app or prepaid TWINT). Only one TWINT app can be used to receive money.

The recipient no longer has the TWINT app

Even if the recipient no longer has TWINT on their phone, their TWINT account may still be active. If it is, they will continue to receive money in the linked bank account. The recipient should therefore check whether they received the funds in their account.

BCV is there to help

Is the recipient’s TWINT app configured correctly, but they still didn’t get the money? BCV can file a search request with TWINT SA asking the recipient’s bank to confirm whether the funds were received. To create a search request, please contact BCV by telephone.
